Happy Halloween! DIY Cute Cheap, Last Minute Costumes!
October 31, 2015

Looking for a cute DIY ( do it yourself) Halloween costume that you can make quickly and cheaply? Last minute easy homemade costume ideas for Halloween this year or planning for next year?
Our teen Mozart loves to make her own on a the lowest possible budget and loves the fun and creativity involved. Remember when she made this cute DYI Halloween costume when we were in Asia?

We just moved and based in Los Angeles so this is her first Halloween here and she has been reunited with her best and oldest friend. They decided to both be fairies this year.

Mozart was TinkerBell when she was 3 and in Kindergarten in Santa Cruz. That year she was the star of the Halloween play and her dad dressed up as Captain Hook and I was Mrs. Darling. I wish I could find those pictures!

This year she just went to Goodwill store, got a dress for a few dollars, wings for 99 cents at the 99Cent store, painted some old ballet flats and made fake bangs and voilà TinkerBell was complete! You can watch more details in the video above.
Want other ideas?

Last year in Dallas she just used some cheap fabric and a safety pin, plus Christmas decoration for her hair, to become a Greek Goddess!

Tonight she had her bestie are enjoying a sleep over and will party and do some trick or treating. Mozart has had few Halloweens in the US, so still enjoys collecting, but it is funny because neither of these teens eat sugar or candy! She likes to collect it just for the fun of it and gives it away and makes healthy treats instead.

My baby is growing up! At 14 this might be her last year, but it is still one of her favorite holidays and she is thrilled to be doing it in Santa Monica. She got all her college work done so she'd have time to play this weekend.

Wishing you a very happy Halloween! What are you or your kids going as? Did you make your costumes? On our 10 year long trip around the world, Mozart has celebrated Halloween from Bora Bora to Barcelona, but this is her first one in LA.
