Family Travel Scotland: Edinburgh Festival
May 18, 2011
Family travel is sometimes about not missing some of the best festivals in the world, like the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. We actually caught this festival by lucky accident, but glad that we did. Mozart even learned about spinning wool the traditional Scottish way by one of the famous street artists there. We enjoyed all the street performers, souvenir shops and lively entertainment.
Part of the fun is just walking around this beautiful city and we loved finding this clock made out of flowers and greens that we stumbled upon during our explorations. Even in August, when the festival is held, there was plenty of rain, but a wee bit of sun would poke it's head out almost every day as well. When you see the beauty of the gardens, one can appreciate and see the value of the rainy weather.
Have you made it to Scotland or the Edinburgh Festival yet?

I love Edinburgh and especially loved the park area where that clock was!

I'm spending all of this August there, renting a flat from another couchsurfer. Looks amazing!
