Family Travel Ireland: Photo Ring of Kerry
June 28, 2011
Sometimes family travel and a family friendly vacation with young kids is all about the animals that you see along the way. As we walked by this lush green farmland not far from Killarney on the Ring of Kerry, we spotted this sweet scene of a mama donkey feeding her baby.
Our 10 year old daughter Mozart, still squeals with delight when she sees any baby animal and since she was a long term breast fed baby that did child led weaning, who will always remember nursing, she seems especially touched by feeding animal babies.
Mozart and I are part Irish, and DaVinci relates to the culture, so we really enjoyed exploring all around Ireland especially the country side delights.
Have you been to Ireland? What are some of your favorite memories?

I loved my trip to Dublin four years ago! I went with a new friend who was also studying abroad in Switzerland. We had a great time exploring the city and talking to the locals. I loved the zoo and the Dublin Castle. Food was great, too!

One of my favorite parts about traveling is running into cute animals =). They're everywhere! That's a beautiful photo.

Aww, glad we are not the only ones, Lori! ;) It's a treat isn't it? We spend a lot of time in rural areas so see so many and adore them.

Thanks Nithya! Kidlet loves animals and we tend to find them everywhere ( we have kittens for her to feed here in Barcelona daily and friends with dogs she loves).
Baby animals do tend to make us fawn and squeal. ;)

I've been in Ireland since early March. County Donegal, near Dunfanaghy. Gorgeous scenery all around. Didn't get to see any baby donkeys, but have enjoyed all the lambs.
