Georgetown, Penang UNESCO Heritage City photo

Georgetown, Penang is a UNESCO World Heritage site because it is an exceptional example of a multicultural trading town with over a 500 year history of blending Malay, Chinese, Indian cultures with 3 successive European colonial powers.

These tangible influences in architecture, religious buildings of different faiths, diverse cuisines, ethnic enclaves, different languages and festivals are very much alive today and  make it an exciting place to experience.

I loved these travel signs and thought you would too!

Is it on your bucket list?
