Hiking the Beautiful Malibu Coast - Point Dume Trail

July 28, 2019

A Malibu secret gem you don't want to miss on your visit to Los Angeles is taking a hike up the Point Dume Trail for spectacular ocean and mountain views and time in nature.

It is a fairly easy hike for all ages, so suits our family hiking goals and filled with astounding sights all year round on the 1.5 mile trail.

It is well known for it's wild flowers and whale watching in spring, but has magnificent wildlife all year long like watching sea lions and dolphins play.

The views dominate and exhilarate, but there are many gems along the way around every turn,  like this butterfly ....

 ....or birds chirping.

Out of all our world travels ( almost 100 countries for me), I still find California one of the most beautiful places on the planet and I am so grateful to be based here now, with many opportunities to enjoy this beauty and peace.
