Euro/Dollar = Best Year to Visit Europe in Decades!
May 24, 2022
For American travelers ( so ready for post pandemic travel) now is probably the best time in ages to come and visit Europe. This is the first time in 20 years, the dollar is approaching parity with the euro so Travel to Europe calls! That does not even include my Top Tips For Planning A Summer Trip To Europe 2022 Cheaply! and Cheap, Furnished Rentals in Barcelona Beach Resort! which helps you save even more money.

How will that affect your travel? It means that things will be a lot easier for budgeting your future trip to Europe. These are some of the best rates in recent memory for spending on hotels, restaurants, souvenirs, attractions or even splurging on a private tour. Low exchange rates have always been a seductive reason for travelers to visit a destination when your home currency in a foreign land gives you more bang for your buck.

According to financial experts, this new low doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon. It’s projected that travelers will soon see a return to the previous low of $1.02, which was last seen in December 2002! That means once you arrive in Barcelona, Paris, Rome or any other city in the European Union, you’ll be able to make purchases without running conversion charts in your head, which makes travel more relaxing too.

Putin's war on Ukraine & Russia’s move to cut off gas supplies to Bulgaria, Poland, Finland and the fear of gas restrictions throughout Europe, plus the dollar's perceived status as a safe haven for investors are affecting these currency rates. Due to this, US travelers can save almost 20% on their vacation to Europe in 2022.

Unfortunately, this high season summer travel means soaring fuel prices and spiking airfares, but deals can still be found. With a little hunting, we got non stop tickets from Lax to Europe for just $320 each, but we bought them in March for a flight in May and I see the prices are higher for my daughter who wants to come in July. I just found her a July/Aug roundtrip flight from LAX to Copenhagen for just $570 & other such bargains. Grocery prices in Spain are 34% cheaper than grocery prices in the U.S.A., so that adds up in a long stay like ours.

Are you planning a trip to Europe or have you been here recently and enjoyed this savings?
