Mozart had a brilliant time swimming and splashing with the swans on this beautiful canal where we would take a boat ride in from our campsite to visit and see Shakespeare plays at world famous Stratford-upon-Avon. It is hailed as the birthplace of William Shakespeare and filled with the charm of “The heart of England’s ” Cotswolds.
You can see the rental cottages available in this large park-like campsite that is a less than a mile away from the center of town. Mozart has become use to swimming French style with no top which is most common in Europe. She has long been a huge fan of Shakespeare and was so happy to get a pin from The Royal Shakespeare Company & to be able to watch a Shakespeare plays outside next to Shakespeare houses!
We are sunny and warm here in Spain, but I thought our armchair travelers in snowy regions, including the UK, might enjoy this sunshine photo break! This canal was only feet away from our RV, so Mozart enjoyed dipping in between visits to town.

Wow, this is such a nice picture, and thank you for reminding us that there is something called Summer! I needed that.
Such a beautiful campground! Wish I had a little of that warmth around here today.
Indeed I could use a sunny break right about now! Cute photo!
What a lovely looking campground! Thanks so much for joining us for Photo Friday.
Oh, so fun! I am dying to get to Stratford-upon-Avon. Hmmm… I’ll be in Ireland this summer. Might just have to pop over!
Seems like we were all hankering after sun photos for today’s Photo Friday 🙂
I hope you’re doing OK – there were tales of some whacky weather in Spain on the news lately.
Keep well.
Beautiful picture! I would love to get there and see a play…we English teachers plan our trips around novels and plays!
I love the little rental cottages. Looks like a great place to stay and play.
I definitely need to put this one in the mental files, as this trip would please every member of my family (except perhaps DH who doesn’t care for boats).
Charming picture – Mozart is such a cutie pie.
My parents in law live in this part of the world and I remember when the children were smaller going to a children’s park in Stratford on Avon by the river, which was very popular with the locals.
We have had heavy snow in Bristol last week, which is pretty unusual for this city & more forecast next week.
I just started reading the blog and website. Great job! I look forward to learning more of the adventures!
Ciao,
Dominic
