One of the things we love about Europe is the picturesque sidewalk cafes that are everywhere. Sometimes it amazes me how they can fit an outdoor cafe almost any where… in the tiniest spaces, like we have seen eating in Paris as well as places in Spain where locals arrive by horse.
Here are a few posts I’ve written about enjoying the outdoor cafes all around Europe:
Divine Cheese and Cream Puffs
Acropolis and Parthenon
We love Dubrovnik
Where have you enjoyed your favorite outdoor cafe?

From a Canadian perspective, it helps, of course, that the tables don’t have to be surrounded with fences to separate the evil drinkers from the rest of the populace….
Oh my, Peter, is that the law in Canada? I have not heard of such a thing.
From a California perspective, one thing I don’t like about the outdoor cafes in Europe sometimes is when they allow smokers. It can get so bad, that we go inside then! 😉

There certainly is not the awareness about 2nd hand smoke in Europe as there is in California.
We don’t tend to drink much, but often find isolated sidewalk cafes without smokers. 😉
