Planning a family vacation with kids to Ireland, the magical Emerald Isle, and looking for best tips and places to visit? We did a big circle around Ireland for a few months one summer via our motorhome on our world tour and I have been many, many times.
Many Americans like to begin a European vacation in Ireland
because the similar culture and language makes it easy and many of us
have roots there. You will love the
amazingly verdant hills in a scrumptious countryside, castles, music and friendly people.We were especially fond of Dingle,
Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, County Cork, the Ring of Kerry and Dublin.
Do remember that rain and cold ’tis the usual weather, even in
summer, so bring your umbrellas, warm clothes and let the kids splash in some puddles.
You might luck out with some sunny days, but if you are prepared then
you will have fun no matter what the weather does.
Hiking and biking around Ireland is a great activity for families and we loved having picnics in the countryside ( one of the best ways to eat healthy and cheap in Europe).
The traditional farms at the Muckross House in Kilarney is a great outdoor museum experience for the whole family to know more about the history of Ireland in an entertaining way.
