Mozart is weighing food in the Roman way at the wonderful Ludo (l’espace enfants) children’s interactive part of the museum that she purchased with currency of the time. Here the kids learn things from how an archaeologist works, to engineering water ways like the Romans, to making a mosaic, to reconstructing an “ancient” pot, to fun exhibits about animals and nature.
We also loved other parts of this large museum complex which is not to be missed. They have a 2,500 square meter area with a fantastic full scale reconstruction of the aqueduct construction works with awesome displays that show the history of Pont du Gard and Roman times with writing and push button voice guides in several languages and multimedia displays for all the senses. There is also a separate film area that tells more of the history in an enjoyable way.
