It’s true that many of the resorts there can cost as much as $5,000 per night, but we easily stayed on our RTW family travel budget of $23/day per person and also got to connect deeply with the locals. I have been too swamped to do anything with them lately, but I think they are still going strong.
I also do private coaching, but not so much on business on the road, since we are retired. Our area of expertise is more family and education on the road.

Happy you enjoy and are helped by our blog!! We get lots of readers, but not that many comments ( many more on FB) so it is always so reassuring to hear that this effort is worth it and helping others.
I am still trying to get my books out, but with Mozart now in her teens I seem to have even less time for writing, so I may have to slow the blog down.
As far as “getting to XYZ on the cheap” I have gone into this before like in this post about extended travel:

Flights are expensive – so one of our keys is to use as few as possible and stay longer.
This evens out the cost considerably.
Then go off season or find ways to get the cheapest flight possible or be a fly hacker and get milaage points.
When we went to Bora Bora, we put it on our Round-the-world ticket. We had to get to Asia from Spain, so made the most of a RTW ticket with LOTS of stops ( over a years journey).
If we go back again to immerse in French and enjoy the Polynesian lifestyle, we would most likely do a long stay of at least 6 months and rent a long term furnished place. This would make the flight from LA not that expensive because it would be our only big expense and spread out over time.
MUCH less expensive that way than if we went for a week…plus we’d have a much deeper experience.
