October 01, 2014
Teen singer Mozart rocked New York Fashion Week with Anna Wintour, Serena Williams,Caroline Wozniacki, Christina Milian and more as the youngest reporter there sponsored by Not Your Mother's Brand and TripAdvisor's FlipKey.
MUST SEE VIDEO!
I love this video! It makes me smile every time, but it was quite the marathon to edit, as there were so many "wow" moments.
13 YEAR OLD MOZART TAKES NYFW BY STORM
New York Fashion Week was so much fun and quite the dream-come-true for a 13 year old interested in fashion and beauty.
We hadn't been back to New York City since 2011 and we all adore it and have dear friends there. We had a fantastic Halloween there in 2009 we'll never forget!
Learning by doing, in the real world, is our homeschool style, so we considered this worldschooling at it's best on so many levels.
Mozart was grateful to have had an insider look into all the aspects of the glamour business from backstage to front row seat to runway and photographers, hair and makeup.
Oh and swag. Now she knows the meaning of that word fully and yes that is a big bag of swag she is carrying as each show meant more gifts to enjoy. Right up her alley, even if she is a minimalist. Look for her video coming up showing that haul.
We had such a great experience, we might return in February for the next New York Fashion Week!

Wow,that is an amazing video and you look gorgeous Mozart!
You did a great job and good luck with your performance at House of Blues!
Please put it on Youtube so we can all see it!

Thanks so much Liz for your support and kind words!! We hope to get the House of Blues performance up soon.
She is singing/playing 5 or 6 songs in her set, so we will likely break them up by song if all goes well! ;)
We're still figuring out how to do this all! :)

Mozart, you connect so amazingly with viewers through a computer monitor! I realized that you've been practicing this all your life through Skype calls with your grandma while you were overseas, etc.! You have remarkable "on-camera" charisma and it feels so sincere and personal. Congratulations on a great video here!

I can't believe you met Anna Wintour, Serena Williams and all these people! You are such a lucky girl, but I am not surprised that you stood out from the crowd. ;)
You are star...the world just doesn't know it yet.
I love how you make everything an education and that is an amazing video!
Keep rocking it Mozart!

Thanks so much Margaret! So happy you like the video and you are very astute as usual! I think you are right that all those skype calls around the world and classes online and all the violin videos as we roamed the world DOES give Mozart an edge on talking to computers and cameras! ;) I never really thought of that as training, but she has been sooo photographed and videotaped her whole life since we wanted to document it all. We've only got about 1% of it up online.

Aw, thanks so much Penelope, so appreciate that. Yes, lucky kid indeed! ;) We were so grateful to get this unique educational opportunity!!
It was a last minute thing that came in as we were moving and we had to fly all of us there, but just seemed like too good of an opportunity to miss. Worth the effort for sure. ;)
